AR official pays tribute to slain jawan

The Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) paid respect to the paramilitary force jawan Paokholet Baite who lost his life in an ambush on AR patrol on October 25 last in between Kwatha and Satang villages, 18 km from the Indo-Myanmar border town Moreh in Manipur's Chandel district.
Baite was killed when troops of 24 AR partolling the area came under heavy fire on that day.
The funeral service took place at Moreh in presence of IGAR (South) the release said.
