Four unidentified armed persons allegedly looted employees of a cooperative society of Rs 10.67 lakh on Karnal highway near Vedkheri village in Shamli district, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when the cashier of the society, Vijaypal, with two other employees were on their way to the bank on a motorcycle to deposit the amount, police said.
The persons, armed with firearms, came in a car and intercepted their motorcycle following which looted them and later absconded, they said.
A police team rushed to the spot and initiated search, they added.
