Arms dealer held

A suspected arms dealer was caught

with one pistol and ammunition by Assam Rifles (AR) personnel, an AR official said today.

Assam Rifles conducted a search operation in Khermahal area of Dimapur on March 4 leading to the arrest of one person. One 7.65 mm pistol, two magazines and 28 live cartridges were recovered from his possession, an Assam Rifles spokesman said.

The accused along with the recovered items was handed over to police.
