Asaram witness murder case: Court orders identification parade

A local court here has ordered an identification parade for Kartik Haldar, the main accused in the murder of a prime witness in the rape case against self-styled godman Asaram.

Chief judicial magistrate Gopal Tiwari, on the request of the preosecution, yesterday fixed November 14 for the identification of the accused.

The accused, who is in judicial custody, would be brought to the district jail here from the Karnal jail in Haryana.

Akhil Gupta, the prime witness in the rape case against Asaram, was shot dead on January 11, 2015.
