Asian and European leaders today condemned "heinous and cowardly terrorist attacks" such as the latest killings in Nice, where at least 84 people died when a truck rammed through a Bastille Day crowd.
In a statement, leaders at the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit in the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator "reiterated our strong unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations committed by whomever, wherever and for whatever purposes".
ASEM brings together representatives from more than 50 European and Asian countries, along with the European Union and southeast Asian group ASEAN.
