Assam chief secy, DGP donate week's salary for flood relief

Assam Chief Secretary V K Pipersenia and Director General of Police (DGP) Mukesh Sahay have contributed one week's salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the flood-affected people of the state, an official release said here today.
Pipersenia handed over the cheque to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at his office in Assam Secretariat yesterday, an official release said today.
The DGP and Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Darash Mathur also contributed their one-week's salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund and have handed over cheques to Sonowal.
The Chief Minister thanked them for their contribution, the release added.
