State-run GSFCL Managing Director Atanu Chakraborty has been given the additional charge of MD of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd.
Chakraborty has been serving as the MD of Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (GSFCL) since July 2011.
Gujarat Alkalies in a BSE filing said that the Gujarat government has appointed Atanu Chakraborty, IAS, as the Managing Director of the company and the non rotational government director on its board.
Chakraborty is an 1985 batch IAS officer of Gujarat Cadre. He is an engineering graduate with specialisation in electronics and communication and has done his post graduate diploma in business finance from France and subsequently MBA from UK.
Chakraborty has taken charge as MD of the company from today.
