Bail granted to ex-Balangir collector in nepotism case

The Orissa High court today granted bail to arrested former Balangir Collector Debraj Mishra in a case of irregularities and nepotism in appointment of revenue inspectors.

Justice Shatrughna Pujahari granted bail to Mishra, a promotee IAS officer, arrested by the crime branch of state police last month.

He faces charges of irregularities and nepotism in appointment of revenue inspectors.

Arrested on November 7, Mishra was remanded in jail custody after his bail application was rejected by a lower court in Balangir.
