A better trend prevailed at the wholesale grains market today with prices of bajra and barley rising upto Rs 15 per quintal on scattered buying against restricted arrivals from producing belts.
Rice basmati common variety, however, eased on adequate supplies against reduced offtake.
Traders said some buying from consuming industries against limited arrivals from producing regions mainly led to the rise in bajra and barley prices.

In the national capital, bajra and barley prices rose by Rs 15 and Rs 10 to Rs 1,120-1,125 and Rs 1,575-1,585 per quintal respectively.
On the other hand, rice basmati common variety eased by Rs 200 to Rs 5,500-6,100 per quintal.
