The wholesale grains market
ended on a subdued note today. Prices of bajra and maize drifted down by up to Rs 25 per quintal owing to slackened demand from consuming industries.
Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries against sufficient stocks position mainly pulled down bajra and maize prices.
In the national capital, bajra and maize fell by Rs 25 and Rs 20 to Rs 1,275-1,280 and Rs 1,400-1,405 per quintal, respectively.
