Meanwhile, aluminium ingots moved down owing to lower offtake from consumer industries.

The industrial metal were trading steady at the LME amid narrow range on the back of pause over 'christmas holidays' as well as uncertainty in dragging US fiscal talks.

Copper sheet cutting climbed by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 470 from last Saturday's close of Rs 464.

Nickel and tin surged by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,105 and Rs 1,415 from Rs 1,100 and Rs 1,410 last weekend.

Brass sheet cutting moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 336 from Rs 333.

Copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper wire bar, and brass utensils scrap all edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 490, Rs 470, Rs 518, and Rs 321 as against Rs 488, Rs 468, Rs 516 and Rs 323 previously.

 

Copper scrap heavy and copper utensils scrap also inched up by Re 1 to Rs 480 and Rs 444.

However, Aluminium ingots eased by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 146 from Rs 148.
