"We understood that the accused could be a member of a trafficking racket and there was every possibility that the minor girl has been trafficked. A team went to and with the help of Mumbai Police, Ramjan was arrested from Kalyan on Monday," the said.

The minor girl was rescued from his house.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Ramjan is originally from and is a part of a big trafficking racket, he said.

Ramjan has been brought to the city on transit remand, the IPS said.
