The archdiocese of Bhopal has strongly condemned the recent militant attack at Uri in Kashmir and asked the world to stand united against terrorism.
Archbishop Leo Cornelio appreciated the Army's willingness to sacrifice their lives for the country and offered special prayers for the martyred soldiers, a statement said.
Archdiocese PRO Father Maria Stephen also expressed his deep condolence to the family members of the deceased soldiers and asked the youth of the country to come forward to defeat the terrorism that halts the progress of the country.
Heavily-armed militants, suspected to be from Pakistan-based JeM, had stormed an Army Brigade Headquarters at Uri in Kashmir on Sunday, killing 18 jawans.
