Bhullar is the only Indian in this tournament, which is hosted by KJ Choi. Though also teeing off this week will be Kunal Bhasin, an Australian of Indian origin.

Bhullar has had a string of fine results off-late, including a win, a tied ninth in Taipei and a second place in Malaysia. These results have helped him move to sixth on Order of Merit.

Meanwhile, Korean-American David Lipsky will have the company of his parents for moral support as they return to Korea to cheer on their eldest son at the event.

Staged at the Haesley Nine Bridges Golf Club from October 4 to 7 with a total prize money of USD 750,000, the CJ Invitational is the first tournament to be hosted by an Asian player, which is jointly sanctioned by the Asian Tour and Korean Golf Tour.

Choi, who started his career on the Asian Tour and is now an honorary member, joins the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods as players with their own tournaments.
