The south west monsoon has weakened in Bihar in the past few days, but the state may witness a good rainfall from Friday.
"A system is developing and people of Bihar may expect a good rainfall from coming Friday evening or from Saturday. It will rain for 3-4 days," Patna Meteorological Centre senior scientist Anand Shankar told PTI.
The absence of rains has increased the maximum temperature to around 37 degree Celsius in major cities of the state.

State capital Patna, which had witnessed rainfall on July 14, recorded the highest maximum temperature at 37.4 degree C against yesterday's 37 degree C.
Patna was followed by Bhagalpur (37.2 degree C), Purnea (37.1 degree C) and Gaya (36.7 degree C), the Met bulletin said.
Patna registered 4.4 degrees above its normal maximum temperature while Purnea recorded 4 degrees above, Bhagalpur and Gaya recorded 3.7 and 3.4 degrees above normal.
The bulletin said light to moderate rainfall occurred at one or two places in the state, with Bhagalpur and Purnea recording 11.4 mm and 6 mm rainfall respectively today.
Weather remained mainly dry across rest of Bihar.
