Bihar has registered an increase of 23.31 lakh voters in its latest revision of electoral roll completed earlier this month.
With this the number of voters in the state is now pegged at 6.58 crore, of which 3.52 crore are males and 3.06 crore females.
Bihar Additional Chief Electoral Officer R Lakshmanan said, "The number of voters in the state has increased by 23.31 lakh to 6.58 crore in the electoral roll published on January 15. The voter population ratio has grown to 0.58 from 0.56."

Lakshmanan said altogether 32.03 lakh applications for inclusion of name in electoral roll were received during the revision, of which 30.71 lakh were approved after proper enquiry.
On the other hand, 7.52 lakh applications were received for deletion of names from the electoral roll, of which 7.41 lakh names were deleted after enquiry.
"The percentage of voters in the age group of 18 to 19 years has become 2.71 per cent. It has registered a strong growth as before the revision of electoral roll it was 1.85 per cent only," Lakshmanan said.
The Additional CEO said photographs of 99.04 per cent voters in the state are now published in the electoral rolls, while 95.69 per cent voters here have been issued Election Photo Identity Cards (EPIC).
He added that the process to issue EPIC to the remaining voters has been started.
