Technology czar and founder of software giant Microsoft Bill Gates will deliver the second lecture of government think-tank NITI Aayog's 'Transforming India' series next week.

"Gates will be delivering the second lecture for the Transforming India series, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also participate. It is scheduled for November 16," a source said.

According to the country's premier policy-making body, Gates through the lecture will share his experiences on the growth of IT in governance and economy and how India can leverage the digital forces to offer better services to its citizens as well as make governance effective and efficient.

Through these lectures, the Aayog aims to bring globally renowned policymakers, academics, experts and administrators to India for benefit of states and the Centre.

It also seeks to give policymakers at state and central levels the exposure of the global experience in development and good governance.

The first Transforming India lecture was held on August 26, which was was given by Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

Delivering the lecture, Shanmugaratnam had said schools are facing the 'biggest crisis' in India and that the world's second-most populous country also has the "biggest gap" in talent at the top and unfulfilled potential at the bottom.
