In a change of guard, from running a business empire to stage performances, industrialist Harshvardhan Neotia now wows audiences in a mythological play.

Neotia, who enacts the seer and chronicler Ved Vyasa in 'Mahabharata', sees the whole attempt as an effort to debunk the popular myth surrounding Pandavas and Kayravas in the epic.

"I was kind of trapped as the director and producer egged me on to turn up in person after doing the voice-over for Byas-dev," the co-owner of the Indian Super League team and pointsman of Ambuja, smiled.

Recalling his school days and countless campus plays, the Padmashree awardee, however, made it clear he had no intention to carve out a career in acting. "This was done on request but that's all about it."

On his tryst with the arts fraternity in the city, Neotia said, "My family is part of arts moment. Our love for art has been moulded in this city. And acting happened to me at this age just by accident,"

Dancer-choreographer-actor Sudarshan Chakraborty gave creative inputs to the panoramic multi-dimensional presentation.

"It is a vibrant interpretation set in a Van Gogh-ian Canvas in a never before seen Broadway Style," he said.
