The BJP might surrender its Ashoka Road office, which was its headquarters for over 35 years before it got relocated to a new address on Sunday, to the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry, a senior party leader indicated today.
The saffron party moved to the new office on the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg. Several political parties have been operating out of the residential premises in the Lutyens Bungalow Zone (LBZ).
There is a Supreme Court order, asking them to move out of the LBZ. Political parties, including the Congress, were alloted land to build their offices and the BJP has become the first major national party to relocate.
