After hectic negotiations, the BJP and Shiv Sena have finally decided on a 66:33 power-sharing formula in the state-run corporations.

"Me, along with (state PWD minister) Chandrakant Patil held negotiations with Sena leaders Subhash and Anil Desai today. According to the pact, we have decided to have a 66:33 sharing formula in state-run corporations. This is similar to the 2:1 pact that we have in the state ministry," Maharashtra BJP President Raosaheb Danve Patil told reporters here today.

While replying to a query, Danve Patil said that ministers of both parties are doing good work and that the decision on expansion of the cabinet will be taken by the party high command at an appropriate time.

Danve Patil said the orders for an open inquiry against Chhagan Bhujbal for alleged corruption in the Maharashtra Sadan case along with alleged involvement of Ajit Pawar and Sunil Tatkare in the irrigation scam were given by the previous government when late R R Patil was the Home Minister.

"There is no political vendetta in the case. We have not initiated any inquiry against Bhujbal. The permission for the open inquiry was given by R R Patil himself when the previous government was in power. It seems that his own party is out to finish his political career," Danve Patil said.
