Blast, gunfire near Pak consulate in Afghan city of Jalalabad

An explosion and gunfire were heard close to the Pakistani consulate in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad today, but there were no immediate reports of casualties.

Local Afghan officials said they were investigating the incident outside the consulate, which is near the Indian diplomatic mission.
