Blue Dart Express Q1 net profit plunges 52% at Rs 21 cr

Logistics company Blue Dart Express today posted a fall of 52 per cent in standalone net profit at Rs 21.09 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2017.
The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 44.08 crore in the year-ago period, Blue Dart Express said in a BSE filing.
The company's total expenses during April-June quarter rose to Rs 639.99 crore as against Rs 562.91 crore in the year-ago period.

Its total income, however, increased to Rs 672.33 crore from Rs 629.68 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal.
Blue Dart Express Ltd is an express air and integrated transportation and distribution company offering delivery of consignments to over 35,125 locations in India.
Shares of the company ended 0.73 per cent down at Rs 4,354.10 on BSE.
