The body of a 20-year-old man was found dumped from a field in Bawana area of Rohini here this morning, police said.

The man has been identified as Amit, a resident of Sultanpur Dabas village in Bawana, they said.

Blood-stained sticks and an abandoned motorcycle were also recovered from the field where the body was spotted by the locals around 6 AM today, a senior police officer said.

An uncle of the victim who reached the spot identified the body which bore injury marks on the head, the officer said, adding a broken mobile phone was also found from the shirt pocket of the victim.

Amit had left his home last evening and he was apparently beaten to death with the sticks and then left in the field, the officer said.

A case has been registered and efforts are being made to arrest the suspected killers who have been identified, the officer added.

"The suspected murderers have been identified with whom he had some dispute and fights had taken among them. Raids are being conducted to nab them," said the officer.

The body has been handed over to the family after post mortem, he said.
