British parliamentary delegation to visit Maha in September

A British parliamentary delegation will visit in the second or third week of September to exchange information on proceedings of the legislatures of both countries.

Deputy High Commissioner of Paul Carter today met Legislative Council Ramraje Nimbalkar at the state secretariat where information regarding parliamentary proceedings of and was exchanged, a release issued by the said.

The meeting today discussed details of the British parliamentary visit later this month.

Nimbalkar said that the UK delegation should visit tourist places and rural areas along with so that the delegation can study rural issues.

A proposal by Maharashtra to hold the Commonwealth Parliamentary Council was also discussed in the meeting, the release said.
