Britney Spears replaces engagement ring with a simple band

The 31-year-old 'Baby One More Time' hitmaker is said to have voluntarily handed the USD 90,000 Neil Lane designed ring back, reported E! online.

The mother-of-two teamed her new ring with a simple yet flattering outfit of a white blouse and dark jeans, and was wearing her blonde hair tied halfback.

It was only a week ago that the couple announced the end of their one-year engagement.

The 41-year-old manager had represented Spears for years but quit his job before the couple got engaged in December 2011.

Spears also confirmed her departure from 'The X Factor' on the same day as her split.
