Three kilograms of heroin, worth about Rs 15 crore in international market, were recovered by BSF personnel today from near Jagdish border outpost along the international border in Firozpur sector.
The booty was seized during a routine patrolling early this morning along the border outpost when jawans noticed suspicious activities by alleged Pakistani smugglers, BSF Punjab Frontier DIG, R S Katariya said.
The personnel searched the spot and seized three packets of heroin, each containing one kg of the drug, he said, adding that the consignment is worth around Rs 15 crore in the international market.

A Pakistani note of Rs 100 denomination was also found in the accused's possession, Katariya said.
The official added that BSF has recovered more than 236.8 kg heroin along the International Border area from across Punjab this year.
