BSNL-MTNL in pact with ONGC to provide telco services for 5yrs

BSNL and today said they have inked a 5-year pact with to provide all telecom services to the state-owned oil firm on a pan-basis.

"A tripartite MoU was signed among ONGC, BSNL and on July 28 at Corporate Office for providing all telecom services such as basic telephones, mobile services, leased circuits including VSAT services to on pan basis, including service areas of at and Mumbai," BSNL and MTNL said in a joint statement.

Financial and other details related to the deal was not disclosed.

"The MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed by Shri Shashi Shankar, Director (T&FS) ONGC, Shri A. N. Rai, CMD BSNL and Shri A. K. Purwar, CMD MTNL for a period of five years up to March 2019," the statement said.

ONGC has entered into agreement with BSNL and MTNL as they are providing complete telecom solution based on latest available technology all across country including remotest corners from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, it added.
