Currently, one has to pay a base fare of Rs 25 for getting in cabs in the city, be it a yellow or the blue-white ones. After a two-kilometre ride, for every 200m, a passenger has to pay Rs 2.40, which the BTA demanded to be raise by 40 paise to Rs 2.80.
"We have written to the state government regarding this. Hopefully they will consider it," he added.
