Budget provides for unemployment allowance

The budget for 2013-2014 placed in West Bengal assembly today provided for allowance of Rs 1,500 per month to unemployed youth registered with the Employment Bank.

Finance Minister Amit Mitra said that nearly one lakh youth would be benefitted from the scheme.

The youth should be within the age group of 18-45 years and had passed class eight.
