Bust of Rajiv Gandhi damaged

Tension prevailed at Alwarkurichi in the district today after the bust of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was found damaged.

Police said some unidentified gang had damaged it.

Congressmen led by local functionary Ameer Khan staged a demonstration condemning the damage caused to the bust.
