CBI registers case against Gun Carriage Factory officials

CBI has registered a case against three officials of Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur for alleged corruption in providing undue pecuniary favours to two companies who have been made accused in the FIR.

CBI sources said case has been registered against R K Sagar, Joint General Manager (General Stores) now Additional General Manager, R K Tiwari, Joint General Manager (Central Planning), PL Thakur, Assistant Works Manager (Stores) and JP Patel, one shop floor in-charge, all of Gun Carriage Factory.

Two companies Sukhdev Engineering and Agarwal Enterprises based in Adhartal Industrial Area have also been named as accused in the FIR filed under IPC Section of criminal conspiracy and provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act, they said.
 

"It was alleged that accused public servants in conspiracy with private companies were falsely showing receipt of labour job items related with ammunition boxes and illegally over drawing items from Stores to provide undue pecuniary favours to the accused private companies. A loss of Rs 55 lakh (approx) was allegedly caused during the period April, 2012 to September, 2014," CBI spokesperson said here today.

She said searches were conducted at nine places in Jabalpur at the residential premises of the accused public servants; offices of two private companies and offices of production department, stores departments and planning department of GCF.

"During searches, investment papers regarding two plots in Jabalpur, one plot in Dehradun, one house in Lucknow, one flat in Kanpur and one flat in Noida and various incriminating documents have been found," she said.
