Central govt employee shot at, suffers bullet wounds on face

A central government officer was today shot at by three bikers when he tried to help two women who were being harassed by them near sector 62 here, police said.

Sushil Kumar, joint secretary with the central government, saw two women being harassed by three persons when he was on his way to Shipra Mall in Indirapuram with his wife and son, police said, adding, when he tried to help the two women, the bikers shot at him but the bullet misfired and hit on his car.

The miscreants after firing at him fled from the spot.

He suffered bullet wounds on his face, police said.
 

A manhunt has been launched to nab the assailants, they said.
