The Centre has assured Manipur on implementation of multi-sectoral development programme in three blocks in the state's Senapati district.
The assurance was given at a meeting between Union Minister of Minority Affairs Najma Heptulla and Manipur Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, and Economics and Statistics Francis Ngajokpa, an official statement by the state government said here.
The MsDP aims at improving the socio-economic conditions of minorities and providing basic amenities to them for improving the quality of life of the people and reducing imbalances in the identified minority concentration areas.

The three blocks which have been identified for implementation of multi-sectoral development programme (MsDP) are Mao-Maram, Paomata and Purul in Senapati district, it added.
During their meeting, Ngajokpa informed Heptulla that since the three blocks in Senapati were left out from the Minority Concentrations Blocks, MsDP could not be implemented in the district, the statement said.
It is being implemented in 25 blocks and towns in Manipur.
