Centre opting unrealistic approach on Kashmir: Chaman

"We condemn the gunning down of cops and other such acts of terror in Kashmir on the eve of Indo-Pak Secretary level talks with the agenda of Confidence Building Measures. New Delhi seems to be still opting the unrealistic approach on Kashmir," Gupta told reporters.

"This has been happening in the past too.All this speaks volumes... That the whole exercise would be meaningless," the former Union Minister said.

He slammed the government for turning a blind eye to the "utterances of fundamentalists and separatists" and asserted such elements should be dealt with a firm hand under the law of the land.
