Press Trust of India New Delhi
Chana prices were down by 0.32 per cent to Rs 4,362 per quintal in futures trade today as traders trimmed positions, triggered by ample stocks on higher supplies from producing regions at the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in far-month April fell by Rs 14, or 0.32 per cent to Rs 4,362 per quintal with an open interest of 25,470 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in January shed Rs 2, or 0.04 per cent to Rs 4,852 per quintal in 1,980 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in chana futures to sufficient stocks on higher supplies from producing regions in the physical market against sluggish demand.
