Chander Kumar appointed chairman of Backward Class Corporation

Former Congress minister Chander Kumar was today appointed the chairman of Himachal Pradesh Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation.

A notification to this effect was issued here today.

Kumar is a senior Congress leader and former Lok Sabha member from Kangra from 2004 to 2009.

He was elected to Himachal Vidhan Sabha from Guler in Kangra in 1982, 1985, 1993, 1998, and 2003.
