Christina Grimmie's funeral to take place later this week

Singer Christina Grimmie's funeral will be held on Friday, June 17 in her home state of New Jersey.

The private funeral will be attended by her family and close friends, reported People magazine.

"It's just going to be a small, intimate gathering for her family and close friends," a source said.

On Monday night hundreds of mourners gathered for a candlelight vigil in Evesham Township of New Jeresy.

"She loved this town, she loved this state, she loved singing, she loved the Lord and she loved me and she was my baby sister.

"Adam Levine paid for Christina's funeral. Selena (Gomez) is singing a song and crying (during her concert). These people didn't have that and we are blessed to. She's in a better place," said her brother Marcus.
 

He also thanked Grimmie's fans for their support over the last few days.
