Christina Ricci's 'Z: The Beginning of Everything' cancelled

Amazon has put an end to Christina Ricci's "Z: The Beginning of Everything."

The series - based on the life of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, the wife of F Scott Fitzgerald and an icon of the Jazz Age - had previously been renewed for a second season and had picked up a new showrunner in the form of "Stranger Things" producer Karl Gajdusek. However, it has now been canned by Amazon.

According to Deadline, the decision was made while the scripts for season two were being written.
