Prabhaben Patel, whose son Swetang Patel died in police custody here during Patel quota agitation in August, today moved the Gujarat High Court seeking a probe by another agency instead of state CID which she alleged was trying to shield the guilty policemen.
"Gujarat police are not in the position to carry out free, fair and impartial investigation....This investigation is required to be transferred to some other agency which may not and cannot be influenced by the police force of Gujarat State," it says.
The investigation was assigned to CID-Crime by the HC.
