Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan was today accorded a civic reception here.
Rajasekharan, a former state BJP president, said he was sent to Mizoram to perform certain constitutional duties.
"I will perform the constitutional duties with love, compassion and by upholding values of humanity," said Rajasekharan who was sworn-in as the governor on May 29.
Rajasekharan is currently on a visit to his home state.
Yesterday, he had a meeting with Syro-Malabar Church head Cardinal George Alencherry at Kochi.
