Ganesh idols made of clay will only be allowed to immerse in river Godavari, a senior civic official said today.
"Idols made of Plaster of Paris will not be permitted to immerse in the Godavari river. The idols made of clay will only be allowed to be immersed in the river," Rajamahendravaram Municipal Commissioner V Vijayarama Raju said.
Idols made of Plaster of Paris and other material will be immersed on the other side of Dowleswaram barrage, he said.
