Tamil Nadu CM announces Rs 3 lakh each as solatium to kin of 23 policemen

Tamil Nadu government today announced a solatium of Rs 3,00,000 each to the kin of 23 policemen who had died of various causes, including accidents.

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa condoled the death of the policemen, and expressed her sympathies with their families.

In a statement, she said she had directed that the families of the cops be paid a sum of Rs 3,00,000 from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
