Pakistan's top diplomat here today said the region needs a coherent and integrated strategy to come out of the decades-old grip of violence.
Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit also said that his country wishes Afghanistan what it wishes for itself.
"There is inseparable mutuality of interests," he said at Delhi Policy Group's conference on peace and stabalisation in Afghanistan.

He said both Pakistan and Afghanistan are bound to work together to achieve shared objectives of peace and prosperity.
"For decades our region is in the grip of violence. We must not lose more time to get to grips with this regional challenge through a coherent and integrated strategy," he said.
