A day after the clash between Trinamool Congress and BJP at Makra in Birbhum district an eerie silence prevailed in the area as the combat force made a route march.
The combat force of West Bengal police made a route march in the entire locality for about 10 minutes and the situation is totally under control, a top police officer said.
With the three bullet-riddled bodies yet to reach the area awaiting post-mortem at the Burdwan Medical College and Hospital, tension prevailed in the area as wails were heard in houses of the deceased, the officer said.

There were no visit of any political party leader in the area today with roads deserted and smoke still coming out of gutted houses.
Three persons were killed, as many injured and at least five houses set on fire when Trinamool Congress and BJP supporters fought a gun duel at Makra village in Birbhum district yesterday.
Makra village is adjacent to Chakmondola where the officer-in-charge of Parui police station was attacked during a raid on October 24.
