Cong manifesto a 'joke': Modi

Dismissing Congress' Lok Sabha election manifesto released today as a "joke" and "an exercise in repetition", Narendra Modi alleged the document mentions all the promises the ruling party had been unable to fulfil since it came to power in 2004.

Responding to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi who today said the manifesto for her party was a sacred document and not a ritual as it was for "some other parties", Modi tweeted "manifestos are sacrosanct but today's Congress manifesto was a joke! It repeated all the promises they haven't been able to fulfil since 2004.
