A Congress outfit today staged a protest here against the Centre over the ongoing row surrounding former IPL chief Lalit Modi and sought resignations of its Union minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
Activists of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Seva Dal (APCSD) raised slogans against the NDA government, held placards and demanded resignations of Swaraj and Raje for their alleged involvement in the Lalit Modi controversy.
The activists also demanded that Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani should step down over allegations that she provided false information about her educational qualification.
The protesters further accused BJP of trying to protect the former IPL Commissioner.
