Opposition Congress will move a privilege motion in the State Assembly against Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal over his claims of having improved civic amenities in Jalandhar and Bhatinda.

In a press conference here today, Punjab Congress chief spokesperson Sunil Jhakar said, " On March 18, Sukhbir told the House that his government will spend Rs 6038 crore in 100-150 cities to improve water supply, sewage, roads and other civic amenities."

He alleged Sukbhir in full page newspaper advertisements on August 22, claimed more than Rs 2,186 crore and Rs 1,735 crore had already been spent in Jalandhar and Bhatinda respectively.
