Contractor shot at, robbed

A 30-year-old contractor was shot at and seriously injured by two unidentified bike borne assailants who also robbed him of Rs 5000 and valuables in Kakra village here, police said today.

Ankit Verma was shot at when he was returning home on his motorcycle from neighbouring Shahpur village last night. The victim has been hospitalised, police said.

A case has been registered at the Shahpur police station. There are no arrests as yet, police said.
