Cop injured in accidental firing

A police officer was injured due to an accidental firing from his revolver at Kabisurya Nagar in Odisha's Ganjam district today, an official said.

Assistant Sub-Inspector S B Tripathy was hurt as a bullet was fired from his firearm when he was cleaning the parts, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Chhatrapur, A K Pahi said.

Tripathy was admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here and his condition was stated be out of danger, he said.
