Cop knifed by drug-peddler

A sub-inspector was stabbed by a 30-year-old man while trying to apprehend him for allegedly selling ganja, police said here Thursday.

After the knife attack that took place Wednesday night, the accused fled, the police said.

The sub-inspector Noushad has been hospitalised and he is recovering.

A search is on for the assailant, the police added.
